Estates, CA 4/01-Present
· Manage 5 departments within Technical Services: acquisitions, serials, interlibrary
loan, processing/mending and cataloging
· Supervise 4 full time paraprofessional positions and 1 half time position
· Assist with collection development of assigned areas, including philosophy, psychology,
and foreign language, and add/discard materials according to District guidelines
· Manage several vendor contracts (including a $200,000+ contract with Brodart
Company), make changes, and communicate problems as they arise
· Manage a variety of budgets from supplies to outsourcing totaling over $150,000
· Helped lead and organize the implementation of the Innovative Interfaces (III)
integrated library system for the District in Feb. 2008
· Created a disaster plan for the District with individualized attention on each
branch collection; plan is updated each year as needed
· Coordinator of Collection HQ software (a collection development tool); responsible
for training staff members
· Head a programming committee for the District to discuss new program submissions
and organize and analyze our current roster of programs
